Helmet, take 2

I was so pleased with the armor from MinuteFett I ordered a helmet from him. It took a while to be made and arrive but it was worth it! I also opted for the metal (aluminum) “ears” and rangefinder stalk.

These are the progress pics of it being painted. After the jump check out the side-by-side comparison with the v1 helmet:

Uh oh. I see a problem.

Do you see the problem? This was before fine touchups so not that. Apparently the paint either wasn’t mixed well enough or it was too cold. More on that later.
