After dealing the ear I got tired of patching stuff on the armor and decided I would repaint it. Then I noticed that the armor I got wasn’t even close to the damage from the movie. So I did A LOT of research. I was ready to put down a ton of money from Boba Maker, from whom I ordered a new codpiece and kidney armor and collar back piece. They looked AMAZING! But they were expensive.

After doing plenty of research and asking questions, specifically if the pieces I was ordering were 501st approved, ordered both ROTJ and ESB ABS plastic armor from MinuteFett.

The pieces came unfinished and required a bit of trimming and cutting but minimal. So I set out to paint them. As a young Boba I went through my Jango phase:

After it was dry I added some Maskol and layered on the yellow, also referred to as my “Banana Fett” phase:

After Banana Fett dried I added more Maskol and started painting the new gauntlets, shoulder and knee armor and chest armor:

The new knee armor is made from heavy plastic and will not crack like the resin knee armor I previously had.
