The more I looked at the jetpack’s paint the more I hated it.

Finger-painted “damage”

As you can see, the damaged ares on it look like fingerprint. There are no glyphs on the top or bottom of the center tank nor on the side pieces. I added the rivets. And a lot of the “damage” looks to be painted-on rather than layered.

The pack is smaller than I expected as well.

I stripped it the best I could with a razor blade, sandpaper and lacquer thinner. Since the base of the entire thing is solid resin I was careful not to use too-harsh chemicals on it. The white pieces to the side of the main booster came off as did the blue center piece (which I broke and fashioned a new one from a piece of wood).
