I will admit that I new zip-zero-nada about becoming Boba Fett. I thought just any costume ordered off of Etsy would work so I ordered a complete uniform, weathered and ready to go.
Boy was I wrong. It was all fiberglass resin which would crack and break if you looked at it and it looked like it was imaged from a standard definition television.
The first parts to arrive were boots and the gun. The gun itself is great! The boots, well, they were OK. They were NOT the Man of War Studios boots (which I now have) and I fashioned my own toe spikes from an aluminum bar and a wooden dowel I shaved to a point using a belt sander.
Here they are, unweathered.
While the boots do not look all that bad, and I was pretty proud of those spikes, they are too big at the top, where MOW studios fit snug. Anyway, this was the first piece of a much longer journey.
